POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – College of the Ozarks invites the public to join them for the dedication of The Missouri Gold Star Families Memorial on Wednesday, April 19th, at 2:30 p.m.

In a release from the college, they share the purpose of this memorial monument is to honor those who have lost immediate family members killed in their service to the country, to preserve the memory of the fallen, and to stand as a stark reminder that freedom is not free.

This memorial is being built by C of O students and staff and is made possible by a gift from Johnny Morris, founder and CEO of Bass Pro Shops and the Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf tournament.

The event program will include remarks given on behalf of A Grateful State, C of O Alumni who served, Gold Star Families, Veterans and the Hershel Woody Williams Medal of Honor Foundation. A small reception will follow the dedication in the Keeter Center.
