Mike King is a professional project manager with thirty years experience in business and technology. He is from Louisville, Kentucky and has been with the Foundation for three years on the Projects Committee and is the Secretary of Operations. His specialty is providing information, guidelines and documentation for building Gold Star Family Memorial Monuments. 

In September, 2016 he dedicated a monument at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery near Fort Knox, Kentucky so he understands the challenges of building a monument. 

Mike has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Kentucky, Sullivan University and the Florida Institute of Technology and is a college professor. He is also an Army veteran from Vietnam and involved in other military and benevolent non-profit organizations providing support for veterans and women's health. 

He currently runs his own project management consulting firm and spends his free time doing genealogy research and traveling.
